All-American Green Beans


Need a quick and easy side of veggies that the whole family will love? Or maybe you're just looking for a way to break the cycle of basic when it comes to green beans. Either way, you've got to try this All-American Green Bean recipe! Savory, butter sautéed garlic and onion, juicy French-cut green beans and of course, bacon, all combined for a side of close competition to the main course! It's easy as pie and super affordable...you'll want them every night!


If you're like me, veggie sides aren't often your first choice for a side dish. I'm typically more likely to go with some Cheesy Baked Potatoes, or chips and homemade dip. But these have really stolen the show at our house! Not only do they take only minutes to prepare, with using only seven simple and cheap ingredients, you'll have a dish to die for and your wallet will thank you!

INGREDIENTS

Cook time: 15 min Prep time: 3 min Serves: 4


  • 2 cans French-cut green beans (drained)

  • 1 2.8 oz jar Real bacon Pieces

  • 1/4 cut chopped onion

  • 1 tbsp dried minced garlic (or fresh)

  • 4 tbsp butter

  • shredded Parmesan (as desired)

  • 1 tsp black pepper


  1. Begin by heating a frying pan on medium/low heat. Add in 4 tbsp butter, 1 tbsp minced garlic and 1/4 cup chopped onion and cook together for 5-7 minutes.

  2. Next pour in 2 cans French-cut green beans (drained), 1 tsp black pepper and Real Bacon Pieces. Stir in with melted butter mixture and allow to cook on medium heat for approx 10 min.

  3. Remove from heat and sprinkle with desired amount of shredded Parmesan cheese before serving.


Viola! That's all there is to it! The quickest and most irresistible pan-fried green bean recipe you'll ever make!
